Serie A 23/24 – Matchday 33 Player of the Week

Oussama El Azzouzi was selected as our Serie A Player of the Week after his impressive performance in the Bologna midfield.

Prior to the AS Roma clash, he had played 12 Serie A matches, but he did not feature in the last six for the Rossoblu. Felsinei coach Thiago Motta gave the Morocco Men’s National Team player a rare start, and the 22-year-old made the most of his opportunity, scoring with an excellent overhead kick, then supplying an assist for Joshua Zirkzee.

Bologna are fourth in Serie A with 62 points, and with Italy earning five Champions League spots for 2024/25, the Rossoblu looks likely to feature in the competition for the first time since participating in the old European Cup in 1964/65. In a season full of revelations, El Azzouzi looks like another hidden gem that the Felsinei have enearthed.
