Serie A Femminile action is back with Matchday 2 and some of the smaller sides are going to have their work cut out against the likes of AS Roma Women and Juventus Women over the weekend.
The season got underway with the biggest teams finding expected victories, but there was reason to be slightly optimistic for some of the presumed relegation candidates.
After an international break in which the Italian Women’s National Team played their first games under Andrea Soncin, the domestic action is back and it is actually spread over three days, which is unusual for Serie A Femminile.
The action will get underway on Saturday with champions Roma hosting Como in what is actually the only game on Saturday. Sunday sees Napoli host AC Milan with both sides seeking their first points, Sassuolo vs Pomigliano and Juventus vs Sampdoria. In a rare Monday night game, Inter host Fiorentina to round out Matchday 2.
Where to watch Serie A Femminile?
The new Serie A Femminile season actually began with a television rights deal having been agreed, which was a major concern for the clubs given it’s an important part of their finances.
The first matchday passed by with only the free-to-air game being broadcast and matches being shown on the FIGC website as a temporary measure. Thankfully, a deal was struck in advance of Matchday 2 with DAZN and a TV deal is now in place. It will be in effect for this weekend’s matches.
There will also be a free-to-air game each week and this season, that is being shown by Rai Play, rather than La7.
Clubs often show their own games live on their respective websites and media channels as well, so those are always worth checking out. Inter TV and Juventus’ JTV are two of the more reliable places to find games.

Serie A Femminile free-to-air game
The free-to-air game on Matchday 2 of the 2023/24 Serie A Femminile season is Inter vs Fiorentina on Monday. That will be shown for free on Rai Play.
