Serie A Femminile 2023/24 – Matchday 5: Fixtures, kick-off times and where to watch on TV and online

In the final weekend of action before a short break, Matchday 5 of Serie A Femminile sees a tough test for Juventus as they travel to a confident looking Fiorentina.

The action has been coming thick and fast in Serie A Femminile but Matchday 5 is the last set of fixtures before there is another small break, and there are a couple of very intriguing matches.

With AS Roma and Juventus both maintaining their 100% records on Matchday 4, it is the Giallorosse who have got the easier game on paper this weekend as they go away to Sampdoria, who got their first points against Napoli recently.

Juventus‘ match is perhaps the most interesting of the round as they take on Fiorentina in Tuscany, with the Viola currently sitting in third on 10 points as the best of the rest. Juventus are of course the favourites, but it is not a foregone conclusion by any means.

Inter will host Napoli which should be a comfortable win for the Nerazzurre, whilst Sassuolo take on Como Women. AC Milan will try to put in a better showing at home to Pomigliano.

Where to watch Serie A Femminile?

The 2023/24 Serie A Femminile season remarkably began with a television rights deal having been agreed, which was a major concern for the clubs given it’s an important part of their finances. As a compromise, the first matchday passed by with only the free-to-air game being broadcast and matches being shown on the FIGC website as a temporary measure.

Fortunately, a deal was reached with DAZN and a TV deal is now in place, which began from Matchday 2 and includes coverage in Italy and overseas.

As well as being available in Italy, the DAZN deal allows for Serie A Femminile games to be streamed on the platform in the United States of America, Canada, Japan, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Belgium and Poland.

There will also be a free-to-air game each week and this season, that is being shown by Rai Play, rather than La7 as was the case last season. The free-to-air game on Rai is available online and on television in Italy.

Serie A Femminile free-to-air game

The free-to-air game on Matchday 5 of the 2023/24 Serie A Femminile season is Fiorentina vs Juventus on Sunday afternoon. That will be shown for free on Rai Play.
