Juventus Women enjoyed an incredibly smooth afternoon against Inter on Serie A Femminile Matchday 8 and that was largely down to the superb midfield play of Julia Grosso.
The Canadian midfielder was incredibly efficient for the Bianconere, making the most of the 68 minutes that she spent on the pitch in Biella. Juventus had already opened the scoring after two minutes in what ended up being a 5-0 win over the Nerazzurre, but it was Grosso who added the second after five minutes with a wonderful curling effort into the far top corner.
Naturally, she was also a part of our Serie A Femminile Team of the Week for Matchday 8 as well.

Grosso and Caruso shine together
Despite the quality of her goal, it was Grosso‘s passing and running with the ball that really caught the eye against Inter. She completed 36 of her 38 attempted passes on Sunday, meaning a completion rate of 94.7%.
As well as that, she carried the ball forward 24 times which shows she really was the engine room for Joe Montemurro‘s team until her withdrawal.
Given Arianna Caruso got a goal and an assist, she could also stake a very good claim to be Player of the Week. She was actually the recipient on Matchday 7, so things are going pretty well in the midfield lately for Juventus.
The pair scored the first two goals of the game and posed a serious threat throughout, showing why they are easily two of the best midfielders in Serie A Femminile this season.
