The Serie A Femminile season for 2023/24 began with plenty of goals and action, with none of the five matches ending in a draw and all featuring at least two goals.
Juventus Women got the games underway as they seek to reclaim their Serie A Femminile title but victory over Pomigliano was harder to come by than expected, with that game ending 3-2 in Campania. Julia Grosso was particularly impressive there and became our Player of the Week.
AS Roma began their title defence with a 4-2 win away at AC Milan with Giada Greggi and Elena Linari both finding the net and proving pivotal. After impressing in their first season, Como started with a win over Napoli and three players made it into the Team of the Week, despite a good display in goal from Napoli’s Doris Bacic.
Here is the Serie A Femminile Team of the Week for Serie A Femminile Matchday 1, which is deployed in a 4-3-3 formation. Let us know your thoughts!
