Serie A Femminile 2023/24: Team of the Week – Matchday 8

Matchday 8 of the Serie A Femminile season saw Juventus put five past Inter with a great display, whilst there were important wins for Fiorentina and Pomigliano. We've put our heads together to come up with the Team of the Week.

Serie A Femminile‘s top two sides are looking unstoppable right now as AS Roma and Juventus both recorded comfortable victories again on Matchday 8, with Juventus particularly impressive.

The Bianconeri were at home to Inter which could have been a tough test, but goals from Arianna Caruso and Julia Grosso inside the first five minutes meant that the result was certain incredibly early. They went on to win 5-0, with Lindsey Thomas grabbing two for herself.

Roma were 2-0 winners away at Sassuolo with Manuela Giugliano grabbing another goal, whilst Fiorentina remained in third with a great 3-0 win against Como Women. A Campanian derby between Pomigliano and Napoli went the way of Pomigliano as a 95th-minute penalty secured their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, Sampdoria continued their impressive form by getting a 1-1 draw away at AC Milan, Taty winning and scoring the penalty that dragged them level.
