Serie A Matchday 11 delivered just about as much as excitement as could have been hoped for over the weekend and no game threw up more drama than Inter’s 4-3 win over Fiorentina in Florence on Saturday night. There, we saw two penalties, two goals after the 90th minute, and plenty more.
Napoli got the most impactful win of Serie A Matchday 11 though as they beat Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night to ensure they hold onto top spot. AC Milan are now second after beating Monza 4-1.
Elsewhere the most notable results saw Juventus beat Empoli 4-0 on Friday and Lazio claimed a 2-0 win away at previously-undefeated Atalanta, even doing so without the injured Ciro Immobile.
Elsewhere, Salernitana beat Spezia, Udinese lost to Torino, Bologna saw off Lecce, Cremonese fell at home to Sampdoria, and Sassuolo had to come from behind at home to Verona to win 2-1 on Monday evening to end the weekend’s Serie A fixtures.
