Serie A’s Sunday results
Atalanta and Salernitana were the only two winners in Sunday’s four Serie A matches. La Dea won 1-0 away at Verona thanks to a fine Teun Koopmeiners strike, whereas Salernitana thumped a woeful Sampdoria 4-0 in Campania.
In the later games, Empoli and Lecce shared two goals and the spoils, while Napoli and Fiorentina played out a goalless draw.
Serie A’s Saturday Results
Juventus took an early lead through a stunning Dusan Vlahovic free-kick, but Paulo Dybala claimed a stunning assist for Tammy Abraham to level for Roma and see the spoils shared with a 1-1 draw.
In Milan, Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud got the two goals for the hosts as they beat Bologna 2-0. Elsewhere on Saturday, Torino beat Cremonese 2-1 and Spezia played out a 2-2 draw with Sassuolo in Liguria.
Serie A’s Friday Results
Monza played host to Udinese to in the first Matchday 3 fixture before Lazio welcomed Inter to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Newly-promoted Monza took an unlikely lead at home in the early evening game as Andrea Colpani put them ahead. Beto did level for the Zebrette just four minutes later though. With less than a quarter of an hour left to play, new Tottenham signing Destiny Udogie – back in Serie A on loan at Udinese for the rest of the 2022/23 season – scored the winner for the Friulani.
The majority of the action came in the late game with Inter visiting Lazio. Felipe Anderson put the hosts ahead but Lautaro Martinez levelled – each scoring around five minutes either side of half time. Luis Alberto scored a stunning second for Lazio to restore their lead before Pedro sealed the win with a fine finish late on.
