Matchday 21 in Serie A is certainly an unusual one given some of the games are actually taking place towards the end of February, thanks to the Supercoppa Italiana.

The action in Italy began on Saturday evening with Daniele De Rossi‘s first game in charge of AS Roma following Jose Mourinho‘s dismissal. The Giallorossi started excellently, going 2-0 up early on before a more nervy second half in which Michael Folorunsho scored to make it 2-1, after Milan Djuric had missed a penalty.

There was then a dramatic clash in Udine as two late goals from AC Milan ensured a 3-2 victory for Stefano Pioli‘s side. Earlier in the game, the players left the pitch due to racial abuse aimed at Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan from the stands.

On Sunday, Frosinone came from behind to beat Cagliari 3-1 and secure their first Serie A win since November 26. Empoli got a first win under Davide Nicola as Szymon Zurkowski netted an excellent hat-trick to help his team beat Monza 3-0 at home.

That was followed by Genoa‘s 2-1 win away in Salernitana, and then Juventus won 3-0 away at Lecce to gain top spot in the Serie A table.

Bologna vs Fiorentina, Torino vs Lazio, Sassuolo vs Napoli, Inter vs Atalanta are all Matchday 21 fixtures but they are being played in late February.
