The 2023/24 season is already delivering, and the latest set of Serie A results threw up yet more surprises and eye-opening outcomes. Juventus, AS Roma, Atalanta and Fiorentina all dropped points on Matchday 2.

AC Milan hammered Torino as they continue to look strong, with Juventus being held by Bologna and AS Roma and Atalanta losing on the road to Hellas Verona and Frosinone, respectively. Elsewhere, Monza beat Empoli 2-0 and Fiorentina drew with Lecce at home.

Napoli continued their perfect start by beating 10-man Sassuolo 2-0 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, while Lazio‘s woeful start to the season continued as they lost for the second time in as many games, this time falling at home to newly-promoted Genoa to a first-half Mateo Retegui strike.

On Monday, Salernitana and Udinese drew 1-1 in Campania before Inter won 2-0 away at Cagliari in Sardinia.
