Serie A 2023/24: Matchday 22 results

Many of the top sides in Serie A failed to win on Matchday 22, with the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli all drawing. What are the latest Serie A results?

Matchday 22 of the 2023/24 Serie A season did not prove to be a very fruitful one for the teams in the top half of the table, with the likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Napoli and Lazio all dropping points.

Before those sides were in action, Cagliari failed to mount a full comeback after falling 2-0 down at home to Torino, losing the game in Sardinia 2-1.

Saturday’s action started with Atalanta getting the better of Udinese, winning 2-0 thanks to Aleksei Miranchuk and Gianluca Scamacca‘s first-half goals. That win would prove to be key after their closest competitors failed to win.

Juventus dropped points by drawing 1-1 at home to Empoli, but the Bianconeri were down to 10 players from the 18th minute. AC Milan also failed to win on Saturday drawing 2-2 at home to Bologna with Riccardo Orsolini scoring a 92nd-minute penalty to equalise.

On Sunday, Genoa beat Lecce 2-1 in Liguria, Verona and Frosinone drew 1-1, and Monza beat Sassuolo 1-0. There was then an uninspiring 0-0 draw between Lazio and Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico where many star players were missing.

Sunday night saw Inter move back to the top with a 1-0 win away at Fiorentina. The matchday was finished off with AS Roma‘s 2-1 win away at Salernitana.
