Serie A 2023/24: Matchday 35 results

As AC Milan secured Champions League qualification with a draw against Genoa, what were the other results on Matchday 35 of the 2023/24 Serie A season?

Sassuolo defeating champions Inter for the second time this term, with a 1-0 win at the Mapei Stadium on Saturday night, was the standout result on Matchday 35 of the 2023/24 Serie A campaign and keeps alive their hopes of remaining in the top flight.

It had been a slow start to the weekends action, as Bologna continued to crawl towards Champions League qualification with a goalless draw away to Torino on Friday. However, the following day Monza twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Lazio, derailing their European challenge.

A goalless draw between Empoli and Frosinone, and Cagliari drawing 1-1 with Lecce allowed all four clubs to keep themselves out of the relegation zone for another week, but Hellas Verona took a big step towards survival with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina.

Although the points were also shared between AC Milan and Genoa, there were goals galore as a 3-3 draw at the Stadio San Siro secured Champions League qualification for the Rossoneri. While Juventus and AS Roma remain in the top five after their game in Turin ended 1-1.

The weekend action ends on Monday night with already relegated Salernitana giving Champions League hopefuls Atalanta a scare, before La Dea came from behind to win 2-1. An injury time equaliser from Isaac Success saw Udinese rescue a point with a 1-1 draw against Napoli.
