Serie A table after Matchday 15

Matchday 15 was always going to be a big one, and Juventus and Inter pulled clear of AC Milan at the top. Here's how the standings look after the latest results.

It is looking increasingly as though we will have a two-horse race at the top of the Serie A table this season with Inter and Juventus having emerged as the early frontrunners in pursuit of the title, and the two might just keep exchanging first and second place.

Juventus leapfrogged the Nerazzurri on Friday night as Federico Gatti scored yet another decisive goal to see Massimiliano Allegri‘s side claim a 1-0 win over Napoli at the Allianz Stadium.

Inter reclaimed their place at the top of the Serie A table at home to Udinese on Saturday night, running out comfortable winners.

Saturday’s other games saw magic from Luis Muriel earn Atalanta a late 3-2 win at home to AC Milan, while Lazio slipped up again on the road to Hellas Verona.

On Sunday, there was a 0-0 draw between Frosinone and Torino before Monza climbed into the top half with a 1-0 win against Genoa.

Joshua Zirkzee scored twice to continue Bologna’s fine form against Salernitana, before AS Roma and Fiorentina drew 1-1 with the Giallorossi having Nicola Zalewski and Romelu Lukaku sent off.

There was a shakeup at the bottom on Monday as Cagliari dramatically beat Sassuolo 2-1 to climb to 16th, whilst Empoli and Sassuolo drew 1-1.
