Matchday 23 of the 2023/24 Serie A season was always billed as a decisive one when it came to shaping how the Serie A table might look come the end of the campaign, largely due to the Derby d’Italia between Inter and Juventus.

The week’s biggest game came at the very top, with Inter pulling further clear of Juventus with a 1-0 win in the Derby d’Italia.

But the weekend’s action all began on Friday, and in frantic fashion, with Lecce scoring in the 90th and 92nd minutes to come from behind to win 3-2 at home to Fiorentina.
