The race for Champions League football intensified on Serie A Matchday 26 with AC Milan and Atalanta facing each other, and Bologna and AS Roma both winning.

Inter maintained their lead at the top of the table as they comfortably won 4-0 away at Lecce, but Juventus managed to stay in second place thanks to a very late win against Frosinone at the Allianz Stadium.

AC Milan and Atalanta played out a 1-1 draw which means the former stay in third, whilst Atalanta dropped to fifth courtesy of Bologna‘s win over Verona. AS Roma are still on the scene, though, as they beat Torino 3-2 on Monday night.

Cagliari were the only side in the bottom six to pick up a point on Matchday 26 as they equalised late on against Napoli through Zito Luvumbo. Alessio Dionisi was sacked by Sassuolo after they were beaten by Empoli who have now climbed as high as 13th.

The action ended with Fiorentina keeping Lazio at bay with a 2-1 victory.
