Serie A table after Matchday 28

How does the Serie A table look after the latest results on Matchday 28?

-

Serie A Matchday 28 saw Inter‘s lead at the top extend yet further as they now sit 16 points clear at the Serie A table‘s summit, though slight change behind the champions-elect saw AC Milan move ahead of Juventus and into second place.

The Nerazzurri won 1-0 on the road at high-flying – and still-fourth-placed – Bologna, with Milan beating Empoli by that same scoreline at home and Juventus being held to a 2-2 draw as Atalanta visited the Allianz Stadium.

At the bottom, plenty changed. Sassuolo claimed a vital 1-0 win over Frosinone but stayed second-from-bottom in the table, though they are just four points off Udinese in 13th after the Zebrette’s 2-1 win at Lazio.

Elsewhere, Cagliari beat Serie B-bound Salernitana 4-2, Monza won 3-2 at Genoa, Napoli and Torino drew 1-1, and Fiorentina drew 2-2 with AS Roma.

In Salento, Lecce coach Roberto D’Aversa lost his head and subsequently his job after he headbutted Hellas Verona forward Thomas Henry on the pitch after the Gialloblu had picked up an important 1-0 win.
