Inter failed to extend their lead at the top of the standings on Matchday 29 of the 2023/24 Serie A season, as reigning champions Napoli recovered some pride by securing a draw with the Nerazzurri.

However, the postponement of the encounter between Atalanta and Fiorentina, after Viola director Joe Barone was rushed to hospital, means that the Neapolitans will have to wait to see the impact on their rivals for European qualification.

The big mover on Matchday 29 were Lecce, who rose three places with a 1-0 win over bottom side Salernitana, as Sassuolo edged closer to Serie B after losing 1-0 at AS Roma.

Frosinone also remain in the relegation zone after Lazio began the reign of interim coach Giovanni Martusciello with a 3-2 win, Champions League qualification still looks out of reach. Top four rivals AC Milan won 3-1 at Hellas Verona, Bologna overcame Empoli 1-0 in injury time and Juventus secured a point against Genoa.
