Serie A table after Matchday 35

With the 2023/24 Serie A season approaching its end there were plenty of vital fixtures taking place on Matchday 35, but how does the table look after the action?

Matchday 35 of the 2023/24 Serie A season saw Sassuolo end the 100-point hopes of champions Inter with a 1-0 win and secured a second victory of the campaign against the Milanese giants, which reignited their survival hopes.

The Neroverdi gained two points on relegation rivals Cagliari, Empoli, Frosinone and Lecce, after they all drew on Sunday afternoon, but Hellas Verona did secure three points with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina.

At the top of the standings, there was no movement across those challenging for Champions League qualification, as Juventus and AS Roma drew 1-1 and Bologna were held by Torino. However, AC Milan were confirmed of their place in the redesigned competition, despite a 3-3 draw against Genoa.

On Monday night, Atalanta overtook Roma with a 2-1 win against rock bottom Salernitana, while at the Stadio Friuli, Udinese and Napoli shared the points and did little to help their attempts to move up the standings.
