Inter remain unbeaten after Matchday 4 of the 2023/24 Serie A season and their 5-1 hammering of cross-city rivals AC Milan means that the Nerazzurri are the only team still boasting a 100% record this term. Simone Inzaghi saw his side put on a show at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to stand alone at the top of the Serie A table.

The Nerazzurri’s win came after fellow title hopefuls Juventus had won impressively at home to Lazio, with Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa again turning it on for the Old Lady. Romelu Lukaku was on target as AS Roma got their first win of the season in a 7-0 hammering of Empoli, while Lecce held on to their place in the top four with a 1-1 draw at Monza.

Napoli slipped up with a 2-2 draw at Genoa, Fiorentina came from behind to beat Atalanta 3-2 in Florence, as did Frosinone at home to Sassuolo.

Cagliari and Udinese shared the points in a goalless draw in Sardinia. Torino won 3-0 at Salernitana on Monday, with a goalless draw between Hellas Verona and Bologna bringing the weekend’s action to an end.
