With the run-in fast approaching, every game matters to almost every team in Serie A and Matchday 30 featured some huge results, both at the bottom of the table and in the hunt for the Champions League places.

Cremonese grabbed their third win of the season on Friday night as they beat Empoli 1-0. That was followed by Lazio’s 3-0 victory away at Spezia.

Saturday’s games began with Bologna hosting AC Milan and with the Champions League quarter-final return leg in mind, Milan were only able to manage a 1-1 draw with the Rossoblu.

The other half of that Champions League tie, Napoli, struggled with a heavily rotated team and they could not find a breakthrough at home to Hellas Verona, drawing 0-0.

Fiorentina and Atalanta shared the points in a 1-1 draw to conclude the Matchday 30 action on Monday.

Continuing the trend of Serie A‘s Champions League representatives dropping points, Inter were beaten 1-0 at home by Monza.

Sunday began with Lecce 1-1 Sampdoria, followed by Torino and Salernitana ending with the same scoreline. There was then a surprise 1-0 defeat for Juventus away at Sassuolo, and the night was capped off with AS Roma’s impressive 3-0 win over Udinese.
