Serie A table after Matchday 32

Matchday 32 in Serie A is one that has huge implications in every area of the table, so here is how the results have shuffled things around.

-

On a weekend of huge significance all over the Serie A table, there were games to look forward to such as AS Roma vs AC Milan and Inter vs Lazio which has huge implications for the Champions League qualification race.

The action got underway with two games on Friday night, as Lecce recorded an extremely important 1-0 win at home against Udinese, whilst Spezia drifted closer to trouble as they lost 2-0 at home against Monza.

Thanks to the confusion around Napoli’s fixture against Salernitana being rearranged, there were only two Saturday games to enjoy. One saw Roma and Milan cancel each other for almost the entire game before Tammy Abraham’s dramatic late goal. The drama didn’t stop there though with Alexis Saelemaekers making it 1-1 at the death.

The day was rounded out with Torino’s 2-1 home defeat against Atalanta which keeps La Dea in the thick of the top-four battle.

We were in attendance at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza as Inter beat Lazio 3-1, but Napoli then failed to beat Salernitana and therefore didn’t quite get over the line and seal the scudetto just yet. Cremonese and Verona drew 1-1, Sassuolo beat Empoli 2-1, Fiorentina hammered Sampdoria 5-0 and Bologna held Juventus 1-1 at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
