Serie A table after Matchday 7

How does the Serie A table look after Matchday 7 and as we head into the international break?

-

Serie A Matchday 7 delivered a lot of thrills for Serie A fans, particularly the neutrals. It wasn’t a set of fixtures for the big clubs to enjoy though, as AC Milan, Inter, AS Roma and Juventus all lost. Napoli and Atalanta lead the table as joint leaders.

Each of Milan, Juventus, Inter and Roma played on Sunday, meaning they all lost on the same day for the first time since 1955. Some losses were more respectable – AC Milan losing to Napoli and Roma losing to Atalanta – but Juventus‘ loss to a Monza side without a prior win came as the latest humiliation for Massimiliano Allegri’s men.

The Serie A Matchday 7 results mean that Napoli and Atalanta are joint top of the table on 17 points apiece for the international break, with high-flying Udinese just behind them in third after beating Inter to add to their recent hammering of Roma too.
