Saturday’s matches saw Napoli, Inter, AS Roma and Milan all take the field. Napoli continued their fine form by beating Torino 3-1 at the Stadio Armando Maradona, whilst Inter threw away a lead to lose 2-1 against Roma at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Rossoneri left it late but they beat Empoli 3-1 in Tuscany, with three of the four goals in the game happening in stoppage time. Sunday saw wins for Lazio, Monza, Sassuolo, Atalanta and Juventus.

These Matchday 8 results mean that Napoli and Atalanta stay aloft the Serie A table with 20 points each. Lazio and Milan are tied on 17 points below them. Sampdoria remain stuck at the bottom after their loss which saw Marco Giampaolo lose his job. Udinese made it six straight wins by beating Hellas Verona 2-1 on Monday evening.
