Sevilla vs AS Roma: Europa League Final preview, kick-off time and where to watch on TV and online

Jose Mourinho is seeking a sixth European trophy from his sixth continental final this evening as his AS Roma face a Sevilla side going in search of their seventh Europa League success. Here's our preview of this Europa League Final.

The 2022/23 UEFA Europa League final couldn’t be more of a case of the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object as Jose Mourinho and his AS Roma side seek to win back-to-back European trophies against competition specialists Sevilla in Budapest.

Having already won the 2021/22 Europa Conference League, Mourinho and Roma will be backing themselves as the team to stop a Sevilla renowned for triumphing in European football’s second competition. With rumours swirling around the futures of both Mourinho and striker Tammy Abraham, the Giallorossi will be desperate to get their hands on more silverware.

Sevilla have been revitalised since Jose Luis Mendilibar’s appointment in Andalusia though and their pedigree in the Europa League in recent years will see the Spaniards as favourites in Budapest.

Sevilla vs AS Roma: Europa League Final Predicted line-ups

Paulo Dybala has been the name on everybody’s lips around Roma ahead of their Europa League Final meeting with Sevilla, with the Argentina international and World Cup winner not considered fully fit and his inclusion in the XI is unlikely. With it being Mourinho, though, some have speculated that Dybala’s exclusion from recent Serie A games might be the ultimate mind game before starting him in Budapest.

Beyond Dybala, Leonardo Spinazzola is expected to return to the starting XI and only Rick Karsdorp and Marash Kumbulla are out with injury – a boost for the Giallorossi in what has been an injury-plagued campaign.

Bono will return in goal for Sevilla but they will be without Argentine Marcos Acuna after his sending-off in the semi-final against Juventus. Tanguy Nianzou and Marcao are doubtful, while Joan Jordan and former AC Milan man Suso have overcome their respective injury issues.

Sevilla predicted XI vs Roma (4-2-3-1): Bono; Navas, Bade, Gudelj, Telles; Fernando, Rakitic; Ocampos, Torres, Gil; En-Nesyri.

Roma predicted XI vs Sevilla (3-4-2-1): Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Zalewski, Cristante, Matic, Spinazzola; Pellegrini, El Shaarawy; Abraham.
