Udinese 1-2 Inter: Goals, highlights and report – Serie A 2023/24

Davide Frattesi struck deep into stoppage time as Inter came from behind to beat Udinese 2-1 in Matchday 31 of Serie A and take another step towards the title

Inter struck at the death to secure a 2-1 win over Udinese in Matchday 31 of Serie A at the Bluenergy Stadium and move a step closer to the league title.

Udinese broke the deadlock late in the first half with a goal that Inter‘s defence will not want to see back. Lazar Samardzic‘s tame low cross curled into the bottom corner of the net after being left by Denzel Dumfries and goalkeeper Yann Sommer, much to the surprise of the Zebrette midfielder.

Inter defender Carlos Augusto had a goal chalked off immediately after the restart, but the Nerazzurri were soon level as Hakan Calhanoglu drilled in a penalty following a foul on Marcus Thuram.

Deep into stoppage time Inter snatched victory as a Lautaro Martinez shot came back off the post and Davide Frattesi was quickest to react to bundle home. Victory sees the Nerazzurri extend their lead at the top of the table to 14 points, whilst Udinese remain 15th.
