League Phase

Teams will compete in groups of four (or in League C, three) teams over six Matchdays (home and away) between April and July 2024.

In League A, where Italy are, the top two teams in each group will qualify automatically for Women’s Euro 2025 alongside hosts Switzerland.

Then, the remaining seven places up for grabs will be decided by playoffs between October and December.

Playoffs

The first round of the playoffs is split into two paths.

The first path sees the eight teams finishing third and fourth in League A will play against the five group winners and three best second-placed teams from League C. The eight winners of those games advance to the second round.

The second path sees the four group winners and two best-ranked runners-up in League B drawn against the remaining two runners-up and four third-placed teams in League B. The six winners then go to the second round.

In the second round, the teams from both paths come together in a draw which will see the seven highest-ranked teams seeded. The seven winners of those ties will qualify for Women’s Euro 2025.
