Women’s Football Podcast: AS Roma crowned champions of Italy for the first time ever

AS Roma Women are the champions of Italy for the first time ever! We were at the Tre Fontane to see them do it and we're here to chat all about it, as well the other action in Serie A Femminile.

AS Roma Women were crowned Serie A Femminile champions at the weekend for the first time in their history, ending the five-year dominance of Juventus over the division.

The Giallorosse beat Fiorentina 2-1 at the Stadio Tre Fontane with goals from Giada Greggi and Elisa Bartoli. Even if they had dropped points, they would have been crowned champions as Juventus could only draw 3-3 with AC Milan.

Down at the bottom, Sassuolo secured their place in Serie A Femminile with a 2-0 win at Sampdoria in which Lana Clelland scored twice, and Parma and Pomigliano played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
