Women’s Football Podcast: AS Roma achieve Supercoppa Femminile glory

AS Roma beat Juventus on penalties in the Supercoppa final over the weekend, so we're here to discuss what that might mean for the Serie A title race.

-

There was no Serie A Femminile action at the weekend but that doesn’t mean there was no drama. AS Roma and Juventus locked horns in the Supercoppa Femminile final at the Stadio Ennio Tardini in Parma.

It was Roma who came out on top after the game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes and the penalty shoot-out ended 4-3 in favour of the Giallorossi. Valentina Giacinti and Lisa Boattin were the goalscorers in the 90 minutes and unfortunately, it was Sofia Cantore who missed the deciding penalty.

To chat through the action, Euan Burns is hosting the Women’s Football Podcast and getting all the details from Conor Clancy who was at the game. You can read his report from the Tardini here.

As ever, the Women’s Football Podcast in which we talk through the Supercoppa action is available exclusively here to subscribers over on Patreon.com/TotalItalianFootball, where there are €2, €5 and €10 tiers available.
