The Women’s Serie A title race took another twist on Matchday 14 as AS Roma got back to winning ways, whilst Juventus and Fiorentina could only draw 2-2 with one another at Biella.

Roma were at home to Sampdoria and were good value for their 2-0 win, with Elena Linari and Giada Greggi grabbing the goals. They could have scored plenty more, but a win is what they needed to put the poor recent form behind them.

That put the pressure on Juventus as they hosted Fiorentina on Monday night, but they fell behind twice to Madelen Janogy, our Player of the Week, before Jennifer ‘Joe’ Echegini scored again from the bench to secure a point for the Bianconere.

Roma‘s Women’s Champions League is also discussed, as their 2-1 defeat away at Ajax meant they dropped out in the group stage.
