Women’s Football Podcast: Plenty of surprises already, Serie A Femminile takes shape

The Serie A Femminile table is starting to take shape after five matchdays, and there have been plenty of unexpected happenings so far. We're here to talk through the season so far ahead of Matchday 6.

The Serie A Femminile season is set to return from its second international break with Matchday 6 this coming weekend, and we have a mouth-watering Derby della Madonnina between AC Milan and leaders Inter to look forward to.

To reflect on the first five matchdays of the season, take stock of where things are at the moment, and to look ahead at what’s to come, Euan Burns and Conor Clancy are here with the Women’s Football Podcast. Inter, Fiorentina and Sampdoria have been the positive surprises so far, while Sassuolo are continuing to disappoint at the bottom of the table.

Serie A Femminile Matchday 6 fixtures

There is now a weekend off for the teams after a triple-header of fixtures. The action returns on Saturday, October 15 as Pomigliano welcome Fiorentina to Campania. Como will face Parma and there will be a Milan derby to get stuck into between Inter and AC Milan.

Sunday, October 16 will see Sassuolo try and get an unlikely win over Roma whilst Juventus travel to Sampdoria.
