The 2023/24 Serie A Femminile season is upon us and the action is getting underway on Saturday, September 16, and Sunday, September 17. The Total Italian Football team is here with the Women’s Football Podcast to preview what’s to come this term.

There was a lot to talk through with each team having their own set of transfers to assess, as well as a summer that contained some very disheartening events for those who want to see women’s football in Italy go from strength to strength.

The saga involving Sampdoria and their future was discussed, as was the fact that the first five matchdays will not be televised in Italy as no rights deal was found ahead of the deadline.

Juventus Women players, including Amanda Nilden, celebrate. (@JuventusFCWomen)

It’s Euan Burns and Conor Clancy here to talk through all of that, as well as a quick look at which matches are taking place on Matchday 1 of the Serie A Femminile season.
