Women’s Football Podcast: AS Roma keep on scoring, Juventus edge past Fiorentina

AS Roma and Juventus continue to lead the way with 100% records in Serie A Femminile after Matchday 5, and they go head to head on Matchday 6. We're here to chat through all of the action.

Matchday 5 in Serie A Femminile was a very successful one for almost all of the teams towards the top of the table, with AS Roma, Juventus, Inter, Como and AC Milan all recording victories.

For reigning champions Roma, it was another goal-laden weekend as they put five past Sampdoria. Elena Linari scored twice from centre-back which made her our Player of the Week.

Juventus were not quite so prolific as they faced a much tougher opponent in Fiorentina, but they still got all three points as Cristiana Girelli‘s penalty secured a 2-1 win. Inter routinely beat Napoli Femminile 2-0, meaning the Azzurre have lost all five of their opening matches.

Como Women continued their superb start to the season with a 2-1 win away at Sassuolo, whilst Kosovare Asllani’s double helped Milan to beat Pomigliano 4-1.

We’ve got Euan Burns hosting and Conor Clancy joining him to chat through all of the latest Serie A Femminile action.
