It is fair to say that Matchday 6 of the 2023/24 Serie A Femminile season will be remembered for a long time, and not for entirely positive reasons with major drama at both ends of the table.
In terms of what made it a great matchday, AS Roma and Juventus faced off in Biella and it was the Giallorosse who ran out winners, beating the Bianconere 3-1. Evelyne Viens and Emilie Haavi were particularly impressive for Alessandro Spugna‘s side who are the only team with a 100% record.
There was yet another impressive result for Como Women as they beat Inter 2-1 at home, whilst Fiorentina‘s strong start to the season continued with a 1-0 win over AC Milan thanks to a very late Milica Mijatovic winner.
Manuela Sciabica got her first goal of the season to secure a 1-0 win for Sassuolo against Napoli, but the drama came after Pomigliano‘s 1-0 loss to Sampdoria. They later announced that they are leaving the division, which we discussed in depth.
We’ve got Euan Burns hosting and Conor Clancy joining him to chat through all of the latest Serie A Femminile action.
