Women’s Football Podcast: A special Champions League night in Rome

AS Roma Women are breaking records constantly this season and their Women's Champions League clash with Barcelona at the Stadio Olimpico was no different. We're here to chat through the occasion, the match, and the most recent Serie A Femminile action.

It was a truly historic and emotional night in Rome for all those connected with AS Roma Women and Italian women’s football on Tuesday.

The Giallorosse played host to the mighty Barcelona Femeni in their first-ever Women’s Champions League knockout round, and they did so in front of an incredible crowd of 39,454 fans.

On the pitch, it ended 1-0 to the Liga F leaders but Alessandro Spugna’s side put in a superb display and we’re unlucky not to grab an equaliser in the second half.

We’ve got Euan Burns hosting and Conor Clancy joining him from Rome after being at the game on Tuesday night, to chat through that game and the latest Serie A Femminile action.

We’ve made this episode free given the importance of the occasion, but you can hear us chat about Italian women’s football every week by signing up to our Patreon at Patreon.com/TotalItalianFootball, where there are €2, €5 and €10 tiers available.
