The end of the regular season in Women’s Serie A is almost here and a midweek round of fixtures mean that Matchday 16 and Matchday 17 have almost blended into one another.

Matchday 16‘s weekend fixtures helped to cement the two halves of the table before the split, because the top five teams faced the bottom five teams and each game was won by the team in the top half.

Inter and Juventus were the most impressive, with the Nerazzurre beating Pomigliano 6-2 and the Biancionere beating Como 5-0. That led the Team of the Week to be dominated by Inter and Juventus players.

Matchday 17 was in midweek and began with AS Roma beating Sassuolo 3-0 thanks to a Valentina Giacinti hat-trick. Fiorentina won again by beating Sampdoria, AC Milan impressed by beating Sampdoria 3-1 and Juventus strolled past Inter with a 2-0 win thanks to Joe Echegini‘s goals.

To talk through all of the games, Conor Clancy and Euan Burns are in position.
