Women’s Serie A 2023/24: Team of the Week – Matchday 10

There were some wonderful individual performances again in Serie A Femminile on Matchday 10, so we've come up with our Team of the Week.

Matchday 10 of the Women’s Serie A season saw multiple tight games with some strong defensive performances up and down the league, but some constants remain, such as AS Roma and Juventus winning.

The Giallorosse fell behind against AC Milan but another goal from Manuela Giugliano and one from Lucia Di Guglielmo ensured that they continued their 100% record. Emilie Haavi was a particular menace on the left.

Juventus were dominant as they put four past Pomigliano without reply, whilst Michela Catena scored twice for Fiorentina as they won away at Sassuolo to stay within five points of Juventus. Lindsey Thomas and Lineth Beerensteyn were particularly impressive for Juventus.

Draws between Inter and Sampdoria and Napoli and Como meant it was defences that took the plaudits. Napoli’s point was their first of the season and the defensive performance of Martina Di Bari was a big part of them achieving that point. Como‘s Matilde Lundorf also impressed in that game with her showing at right-back.
