Matchday 15 of the 2023/24 Women’s Serie A season is one that, come May, will likely be remembered as a decisive one in the race for the title as AS Roma beat Juventus 3-1 at the Stadio Tre Fontane to take another step towards defending their crown. We’ve chosen our Women’s Serie A Team of the Week after the weekend’s games.

Elena Linari, Manuela Giugliano and Benedetta Glionna were all in fine form for champions Roma to help them to three points against the Bianconere, and each earned a place in this Best XI.

Andrea Staskova and Madelen Janogy were each on target for opposing sides as Fiorentina and AC Milan drew 2-2, a result which allowed Juventus to stay second and ahead of the Viola.

Sassuolo trio Caroline Pleidrup, Sara Mella and Cecilia Prugna all put in impressive performances to lead the Neroverdi to a win over Napoli Femminile, with Azzurre goalkeeper Doris Bacic still earning her inclusion in the Team of the Week after saving two penalties – denying Daniela Sabatino a 501st career goal before keeping out Lana Clelland.

Zsanett Kajan scored twice and assisted another for Como Women as they beat Inter 3-2 in Milan, ending a two-month wait for a win since last beating the Nerazzurre and earning her our Women’s Serie A Player of the Week prize. Lina Magull impressed again for Inter.
