Women’s Serie A returned for the second phase of the season with four dramatic Matchday 19 fixtures which saw wins for Sampdoria and Sassuolo, as well as a dramatic draw between Inter and Juventus.

In the Poule Salvezza, things continued to look incredibly bleak for Pomigliano as they lost 5-0 at home to Sampdoria. Victoria DellaPeruta scored four of those goals and obviously became our Player of the Week.

Napoli picked up an important point in their bid to finish in the relegation play-off place as they drew 1-1 with Como Women. Further up the table, a late Chiara Beccari strike secured an impressive 1-0 win over Fiorentina for Sassuolo. In the Derby d’Italia, a late strike from Annamaria Serturini meant that Inter and Juventus drew 3-3 in Milan, with both sides scoring from the spot in the first half.
