Women’s Serie A Podcast: Juventus hammer struggling Fiorentina, Napoli beat Sampdoria

There were victories for Juventus and AS Roma on Women's Serie A Matchday 21, whilst Napoli picked up a huge three points at the bottom. We're here to chat through all of the action on the Women's Football Podcast.


Women’s Serie A Matchday 21 saw an impressive victory for Juventus at home against Fiorentina, whilst Napoli picked up a vital three points against Sampdoria to improve their chances of survival.

The action began on Friday night with Inter hosting AS Roma, a game that the Nerazzurri will feel they should have got more from. Rita Guarino‘s side had the bulk of the chances but Roma always find a way and they won 2-1.

The other Poule Scudetto game saw Joe Echegini thrive against Fiorentina as she netted three of Juventus‘ four goals in a 4-0 win. The other was scored by Julia Grosso, and Fiorentina have now lost four on the trot and failed to score in any of them.

Towards the bottom, AC Milan asserted some dominance over Como Women with a commanding 4-1 away win, whilst Napoli surprisingly beat Sampdoria 2-0 at home to ensure they have a four-point lead over local rivals Pomigliano at the bottom.
