The 2023 Women’s World Cup is getting closer and closer and it feels even more real for Italy Women after Milena Bertolini named her 23-player squad.

The announcement came just a day after the final friendly before the tournament in Australia and New Zealand, which saw Italy draw 0-0 with Morocco in Ferrara. It was an experimental team, and not everyone that started the game is heading to the World Cup.

Euan Burns and Conor Clancy are here to talk through that match along with the squad announcement itself, focusing on those that have been left and who the surprise inclusions are.
