World Cup 2022: Which Serie A players are playing in Group E and Group F today?

It is all to play for in both Group E and Group F at the World Cup. Take a look at what Serie A players will be in action.

The group stages of the Qatar 2022 World Cup are coming to an end and many of the round of 16 slots have been filled by teams such as England, the Netherlands, France, and the USA.

Thursday, December 1 will see four more teams progress to the next round and both Group E and Group F are on a knife edge with no one confirmed as through yet. Unfortunately, neither group is particularly laden with Serie A stars, especially Group E where there are none.

What are today’s World Cup fixtures?

The World Cup fixtures for Thursday, December 1 feature the eight teams competing in groups E and F. Group E consists of Germany, Japan, Spain and Costa Rica. Group F contains Morocco, Croatia, Belgium and Canada.

Group F will be concluded first which means that both Canada v Morocco and Croatia v Belgium will kick off at 16:00 CET. Group E then gets underway with Costa Rica v Germany and Japan v Spain at 20:00 CET.

Which players from Serie A are playing in the World Cup today? 

With as many as 65 Serie A players called up to the 2022 World Cup, you don’t have to look to far to see one involved in a game. Only Group E contains no Serie A players. 

The following Serie A players could all be involved in today’s World Cup matches:

Group E

Incredibly, out of Germany, Spain, Japan and Costa Rica, there is not a single Serie A player heading to Qatar.

Group F

Belgium (Two)

Romelu Lukaku (Inter), Charles De Ketelaere (AC Milan)

Croatia (Four)

Mario Pasalic (Atalanta), Marcelo Brozovic (Inter), Martin Erlic (Sassuolo), Nikola Vlasic (Torino)

Morocco (Two)

Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina), Abdelhamid Sabiri (Sampdoria)

There are no Serie A players will be at the World Cup with Canada.
